"Mr Roswell C. Coleman was born at Goshen, Orange County, New York, December 3, 1840. Up to last September Mr. Coleman had never fired a shot with a rifle. The International match stirred him up to practice, and his progress has been sufficiently rapid to win him a position on the team this year."
